About the role
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Ingenuity Cloud Services, you'll play a key role in driving our growth by identifying and engaging with new business opportunities across the UK and EMEA regions.
Working as part of our dynamic business development team, you’ll be on the front line of our commercial efforts — introducing our cloud and infrastructure solutions to organisations across a range of industries. You’ll be responsible for opening doors with prospective clients, sparking interest, and setting up high-quality meetings for our business development managers.
This is a fantastic entry point into tech sales. You'll be supported with ongoing training and mentorship, and equipped with all the tools you need to succeed — from CRM and prospecting platforms to sales enablement resources. While the role is focused on booking meetings initially, you'll quickly grow into qualifying opportunities and building a deeper understanding of our sales process, with a clear path for progression into more senior business development roles.
You’ll be based at our state-of-the-art offices near Manchester Airport, working in a fast-paced, supportive environment where ambition and curiosity are encouraged.
What will I be doing?
- Researching and identifying potential new clients – with a particular focus on gaming and VPN companies - across the UK and EMEA.
- Reaching out to prospects through a mix of outbound channels — including email, phone, LinkedIn and other platforms.
- Responding to inbound leads generated by our marketing team and qualifying initial interest.
- Engaging prospects in early-stage conversations to understand their needs and introduce our cloud and infrastructure solutions.
- Booking discovery calls and meetings for the business development team, ensuring a smooth handover of qualified opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate records of outreach and activity within our CRM system.
- Collaborating closely with the wider sales and marketing teams to refine messaging and improve campaign performance.
- Taking part in regular sales training and development sessions to build your skills and progress your career.
What skills do I need?
You don’t need years of experience — we’re looking for the right attitude, curiosity, and a desire to grow in tech sales. That said, here are some of the qualities and skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- A confident, clear communicator — whether over email, phone, or video.
- Comfortable speaking to new people and building rapport quickly.
- Organised and proactive — able to manage multiple conversations and follow-ups at once.
- A self-starter who’s motivated by hitting goals and learning fast.
- Some prior sales experience (retail, telesales, fundraising, etc.) is preferred, but not essential.
- An interest in technology, cloud infrastructure, or digital services — you don’t need to be an expert, but curiosity goes a long way.
- Willing to take feedback, try new approaches, and keep improving.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn or CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) is helpful but not essential.
We’ll give you all the training and support you need — but we’re looking for people who are ready to jump in, bring energy, and make things happen.
