As a Freight Executive, you will be a critical member of our dynamic logistics team, responsible for the seamless execution of our global supply chain. You will manage multi-modal freight operations from origin to destination, ensuring every shipment is compliant, cost-effective, and on schedule. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, proactive communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

Shipment Coordination & Execution:

  • Plan and coordinate end-to-end global freight movements (Air, Sea, and Road), including imports, exports, and cross-trades across key markets in Europe, the US, Asia, and Australia.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and couriers to request quotations, negotiate costs, and book shipments in line with operational and commercial requirements.
  • Proactively troubleshoot in-transit issues, manage exceptions, and provide effective solutions to minimise delays and costs.

Trade Compliance & Documentation:

  • Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists.
  • Proactively identify and validate documentation requirements for various countries, coordinating with internal and external partners to secure all necessary compliance certificates (e.g., EUR1, COO, Health Certificates, Certificates of Conformity).
  • Manage the systematic uploading and archiving of all shipping and compliance documentation for audit and record-keeping purposes.

Stakeholder Communication & Systems Management:

  • Serve as the central point of communication for all shipment-related enquiries, providing clear and timely updates to internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Sales & B2B Operations) and external partners (freight forwarders, customs brokers).
  • Maintain a high level of data accuracy and integrity through timely and precise updates in the Transport Management System (TMS).

Experience & Knowledge:

Strong, practical knowledge of global import/export procedures, customs formalities, and a comprehensive understanding of Incoterms.

Demonstrable experience creating and managing a wide range of shipping and customs documentation. Experience with an international retailer or 3PL is highly advantageous.

Skills & Attributes:

Exceptional Communication: Proven ability to manage a high volume of correspondence clearly and professionally with diverse, global stakeholders.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data entry and document verification is essential.

Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to prioritise a demanding workload, manage multiple shipments simultaneously, and proactively solve logistical challenges under pressure.

Systems Proficiency: Competent in using Transport Management Systems (TMS) and the MS Office Suite (Excel Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc).
