About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Delivery to lead our Technology and Logistics services division. This pivotal role requires a unique blend of technology delivery expertise and deep understanding of warehouse operations. You will oversee the delivery of technology solutions across our Service Management, Staff Technology, and Warehouse Support Teams, ensuring seamless integration with our proprietary Warehouse Management System and robotic automation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the technology delivery strategy for logistics and warehouse operations
- Align technology initiatives with business objectives across the logistics and tech services arm
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across warehouse operations, IT, and business leadership
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery methodologies and operational efficiency
Technology Delivery Management
- Oversee the delivery lifecycle of technology projects supporting warehouse operations
- Manage the integration and optimisation of our proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Lead initiatives involving AutoStore and Liabo robotics systems, ensuring maximum operational efficiency
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver complex technology solutions on time and within budget
- Establish and monitor KPIs for technology delivery performance
Customer Engagement
- Lead technical discussions with external customers considering our fulfilment services
- Design and present onboarding strategies for new fulfilment clients
- Collaborate with sales teams to demonstrate technical capabilities and infrastructure
- Ensure smooth technical integration of customer systems with our WMS and fulfilment platform
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on fulfilment technology best practices
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop high-performing delivery teams across multiple technology domains
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across delivery teams
- Mentor team members and support their professional development
Requirements
Experience
- Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects in logistics or warehousing environments
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) implementation and optimisation
- Experience working with robotic automation systems in warehouse settings
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary technology teams
- Experience in customer-facing roles, presenting technical solutions to external stakeholders
- Track record of successfully onboarding enterprise clients onto technology platforms
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, inventory management, and fulfilment processes
- Knowledge of robotic automation systems, particularly AutoStore and similar technologies
- Familiarity with Service Management frameworks (ITIL preferred)
- Understanding of integration patterns between WMS and other enterprise systems
- Experience with agile and traditional project delivery methodologie
