Purpose of the Role
To provide robust financial support to the THG Experience division, with a primary focus on revenue and cost analysis, balance sheet integrity, and system reconciliation across a varied hospitality portfolio. The role will work closely with the Finance Director and wider operational teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed revenue and cost analysis across the THG Experience portfolio, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Complete month-end balance sheet reconciliations to a high standard and within agreed deadlines
- Maintain and reconcile data across multiple hospitality-based systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy of financial records
- Prepare and post month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments as required
- Support the Finance Director with management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner, escalating issues where necessary
- Liaise with operational site teams to gather financial information and provide finance support during site visits
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, particularly around system integration and reconciliation efficiency
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and group policies
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to the wider THG Experience business as needed
Skills & Experience
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent relevant experience
- Demonstrable experience in a finance role within a hospitality, leisure, or multi-site environment is desirable
- Strong reconciliation skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience working across multiple systems and the ability to quickly adapt to new platforms
- Solid understanding of revenue recognition and cost accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large data sets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across finance and operational teams
