Job Description

Hale Country Club & Spa are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Outdoor Facilities Assistant to support the overall cleanliness, presentation, and organisation of all external and leisure areas across the site. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for all visitors and staff.

The position is hands-on and requires a flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and varying shifts in line with operational needs. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards and responding proactively to the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all external areas, including car parks, entranceways, walkways, and recreational spaces.
  • Ensure all leisure facilities, including tennis courts, padel courts, swimming pool areas, football pitch, and mini golf areas, are kept clean, organised, and safe for use.
  • Monitor and manage waste disposal across the site, including emptying bins and keeping bin storage areas clean, tidy, and well organised.
  • Support the setup and upkeep of outdoor furniture, ensuring it is arranged appropriately and protected during adverse weather conditions.
  • Assist with the preparation and general upkeep of the swimming pool area, ensuring it is clean, accessible, and ready for daily use.
  • Maintain storage areas, including chemical and equipment storage, ensuring they are organised, safe, and compliant with relevant standards.
  • Carry out routine checks across all areas to identify cleanliness, safety, or maintenance issues, reporting any concerns promptly.
  • Support seasonal duties such as leaf clearance and winter gritting to ensure safe access across the site.
  • Assist with basic inspections of outdoor equipment and facilities to ensure they remain safe and fit for use. 
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team and follow direction from management to meet operational standards.
