About the Role
We’re looking for a People Advisor to join our Fulfilment Operations team in Manchester — a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their HR career.
If you’ve built a strong foundation as an HR Assistant or Junior Advisor and are now looking for more ownership, variety, and impact, this role offers exactly that. You’ll be a key HR presence on site, acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees while gaining hands-on experience across the full HR spectrum.
Working closely with an experienced People Business Partner, you’ll have the space to take real accountability, build confidence in your decision-making, and accelerate your development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers, providing practical, clear, and timely HR advice
- Take ownership of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, absence, performance and capability matters (with support where needed)
- Manage the HR inbox, ensuring all queries are responded to efficiently and to a high standard
- Partner with the People Business Partner to deliver the site people plan and key HR initiatives
- Support on the delivery of the annual engagement calendar, employee voice initiatives, and employee communications
- Support recruitment and onboarding activity for the site, including both high-volume operational hiring and individual specialist or management roles
- Coordinate and support the delivery of learning and development initiatives, including manager capability upskilling
- Support organisational design and change projects, including restructures, shift pattern changes and TUPE processes
- Use HR data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, supporting HR administration and audit preparation
- Coordinate core HR processes, including contract changes, leaver processing, and probation reviews
What We’re Looking For
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in an HR role — either as an Advisor or a strong HR Assistant ready for progression
- Experience in a high-volume, fast paced operational environment
- Good understanding of core HR processes and working knowledge of UK employment law
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems
- Even if you don’t tick every box, if you’re motivated and keen to grow, we’d still encourage you to apply.
Why Join Us?
This is more than just an advisory role — it’s an opportunity to take real ownership, develop quickly, and make a tangible impact in a fast-paced operational environment. You’ll gain exposure to the full HR lifecycle, work closely with experienced HR leaders, and play a key role in shaping the employee experience on site.
