About the Role

THG Ingenuity is looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Technology Manager to lead technology support across our global fulfilment network. Reporting to the Head of Staff Technology, you will oversee warehouse IT operations across our Warrington distribution centre and Manchester (Altrincham) warehouse, while supporting a global team of engineers delivering high-quality end-user and operational technology support.

Role can be based at our Warrington site or Manchester HQ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Warehouse IT Engineering across global fulfilment centres, providing direction and support for end-user and operational technologies.
  • Manage and mentor a global team of IT engineers, ensuring excellent service delivery and support standards.
  • Own the delivery of warehouse technology and automation projects, ensuring solutions align with operational, security, and patching standards.
  • Partner with Warehouse Operations teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology optimisation.
  • Collaborate with internal technology teams across WMS, ERP, print services, networking, and infrastructure to implement operational changes and enhancements.
  • Oversee incident and service management processes, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently with strong communication across business functions.
  • Maintain technology compliance and operational standards for warehouse devices, desktops, scanning solutions, and label printing environments.
  • Support and maintain core infrastructure including networking equipment, Wi-Fi technologies, storage systems, and end-user devices across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through proactive problem management, documentation updates, and knowledge-sharing practices.
  • Ensure accurate asset management, auditing, and operational documentation across warehouse technology environments.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience managing or leading IT support teams within operational or warehouse environments.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Active Directory and Azure AD
    • Microsoft 365
    • Microsoft operating systems and product suites
    • Apple and Android devices
  • Experience with asset management and technology auditing.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including wireless technologies.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and operating procedures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain organised and calm under pressure while managing competing priorities.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting warehouse scanning and label printing hardware.
  • Exposure to Android Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
  • Experience managing teams of IT engineers in multi-site or global environments.
  • Understanding of warehouse automation technologies such as AutoStore or Vanderlande systems.

Location

This role is split between our Warrington distribution centre and our Manchester (Altrincham) warehouse, with occasional support for global fulfilment operations.
