About the Role 

We’re looking for an organised and commercially aware Assistant Merchandiser to join our growing Merchandising team, supporting global clients across inbound stock planning and warehouse operations.

You’ll support the Merchandiser and wider team to manage inbound, liaising with internal departments and external clients to manage inbound, support capacity planning and accurate data visibility to ensure decision making is fast and accurate. This is a fast-paced role with a strong mix of data analysis, stakeholder communication, and operational coordination.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with Merchandisers and clients to understand inbound requirements, phasing and product mix
  • Supporting inbound capacity planning and tracking performance against plan
  • Raising and managing client purchase orders to support inbound processes
  • Managing inbound bookings and timelines to ensure warehouse capacity is maximised
  • Supporting the warehouse in resolving inbound issues to ensure stock is received and available for sale
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting system updates and data integrity
  • Producing and maintaining reports on stock levels, availability and performance
  • Supporting forecasting and replenishment planning to ensure optimal stock holding
  • Assisting in identifying slow-moving or aged stock and highlighting risks to the wider team
  • Reviewing client performance and helping to communicate insights and areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • An early-career professional open to learning and developing in merchandising
  • Strong basic computer skills (particularly Excel or working with data)
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage different stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset

Desirable (non-essential): 

  • Experience working with WSSI, forecasting, or replenishment planning
  • Exposure to warehouse operations or inbound logistics
  • Experience managing or supporting client relationships
  • Familiarity with merchandising or stock management systems
