About the Role

The Content Executive is a hands-on role within THG Ingenuity's Content team, responsible for writing, editing, and publishing high-quality content across client brand websites and digital channels.

This role covers content for a wide range of clients across sectors including Beauty, Healthcare, and Technology, with a significant proportion of clients operating in Beauty. You'll interpret content briefs and produce accurate, on-brand copy that reflects each client's tone of voice, style guide, and publishing standards, while applying SEO and EEAT best practice to support organic performance.

You'll work within client CMS platforms to manage the full content lifecycle - from drafting and proofreading through to publishing - and will build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. Given the number of clients operating in regulated industries, an understanding of compliance requirements is an important part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Content Writing & Editing

  • Write and edit content in line with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and client style guides.
  • Interpret content briefs and translate requirements into effective, accurate, and engaging content.
  • Proofread all content thoroughly, with strong attention to spelling, grammar, and accuracy before publishing.
  • Follow established formatting standards and publishing processes to ensure consistency across client sites.

SEO & Content Performance

  • Apply EEAT and SEO principles - including keyword optimisation, meta data, and internal linking - to support content visibility and performance.
  • Use SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics to inform content decisions and monitor results.
  • Analyse and communicate content performance through reporting, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
  • Stay aware of AI-related industry trends - including AI search, AI overviews, and GEO - and their impact on content strategy.

CMS & Publishing

  • Manage content within CMS platforms, ensuring accurate set-up, formatting, and publishing.
  • Apply understanding of HTML and web publishing best practice to ensure content displays correctly across devices.
  • Use supporting systems to manage content operations and requests.
  • Use AI tools responsibly to support content creation and productivity, in line with brand and quality standards.

Stakeholder & Workload Management

  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understanding and delivering against their content requirements.
  • Prioritise workload and manage multiple deadlines, adapting to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work closely with SEO, brand, and account teams to ensure content is delivered accurately and on time.

Compliance & Quality

  • Maintain a strong commitment to content quality and accuracy across all work produced.
  • Apply an understanding of compliance requirements when producing content for clients in regulated industries.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent written English, with exceptional spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to write and edit content in line with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Ability to follow style guides, formatting standards, and publishing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to content quality and accuracy.
  • Good understanding of EEAT and SEO principles, including keyword optimisation, meta data, and internal linking.
  • Experience managing content within a CMS.
  • Ability to interpret content briefs and translate requirements into effective content.
  • Confident managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of HTML and web publishing best practice (desirable).
  • Experience working in regulated industries and understanding of compliance (desirable).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office - particularly Excel - and collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience using SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience using AI tools and AI-assisted content responsibly, with awareness of industry trends such as AI search, AI overviews, and GEO.
  • Knowledge of and interest in key client sectors such as Beauty, Healthcare, and Technology - genuine interest in Beauty is a strong advantage given the volume of clients in this sector.
