Procurement Graduate/Procurement Executive

Role Overview:

As a Graduate Procurement Executive, you will support the delivery of procurement activity across a wide indirect spend portfolio. You will work across the full procurement lifecycle, from market research and supplier engagement through to contract review and savings delivery, gaining structured development across all core procurement disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate savings, working capital improvements and favourable terms across a mixed indirect portfolio
  • Support sourcing activity across indirect categories including facilities management, packaging and operations
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of RFPs, RFQs, and competitive tenders 
  • Build working relationships with internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, warehouse operations teams
  • Support business in capturing requirements, translating them into briefs, and managing expectations through the sourcing cycle
  • Present commercial analysis and recommendations clearly, both in writing and verbally
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to support category strategy and negotiation preparation
  • Build and maintain cost models, TCO analysis, and savings tracking workbooks
  • Contribute to management reporting, category updates, and savings pipeline trackers
  • Use AI tools to accelerate procurement workflows including research, document drafting, and spend analysis
  • Assist in managing supplier engagement for operational and fulfilment site requirements across the UK estate
  • Liaise with operational and supply chain stakeholders to ensure specification alignment and procurement lead times are met
  • Redline contracts with commercial input 

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Degree-level education (2:1 or above) in any discipline; business studies, economics, supply chain, or a related field is advantageous but not required
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence working in Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to draft professional correspondence and present findings clearly
  • Strong organisational skills; able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • A proactive, commercial mindset; intellectually curious and comfortable asking questions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with competing priorities

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a procurement, supply chain, operations, finance, or commercial environment (placement year, internship, or part-time)
  • Exposure to contract management, vendor onboarding, or spend analysis
  • AI literacy
