The Challenge

As order volumes accelerated, our existing sortation infrastructure created operational pressure points:

The Solution

• Deployment of 14 induction stations with 80 Libiao 3D Sorters, enabling dynamic sortation across 3,840 destinations.
• 430 robots deployed, unlocking additional capacity to support batch picking during peak.
• Robotics-as-a-Service model, removing heavy upfront capex and enabling flexible scaling aligned to demand.
• Full integration with our existing WMS, ensuring a seamless operation within our live fulfilment environment.
• Rapid implementation in just 35 days, with ramp-up to full target volume within one week.

The Results

The Libiao T-Sorter deployment delivered immediate and measurable operational impact:

• Immediately increasing capacity from 250,000 to 600,000 units per day within a single facility.
• Reaching 11,151 items per hour throughput, delivering a 34% increase against our target.
• 99.9% sort accuracy and 99.9% system uptime, strengthening our service reliability.
• A reduction of 45 FTE at a 200,000 daily volume, significantly lowering our labour dependency and cost to serve.
